SONAX is the largest provider of vehicle upgrading and maintenance seminars in Germany and in many countries around the world. Their renowned Detailing Academy is constantly expanding, and as a result, its training courses will soon be delivered by over 120 SONAX Master Trainers in over 60 countries worldwide.

In January 2021 Pearce Cullen, from Cullen Car Care, became the first certified SONAX Profiline Detailing Academy Master Trainer in Ireland, simultaneously opening the doors of the SONAX Detailing Academy to all car enthusiasts in Ireland.

Our Detailing Academy offers 3 types of 1-day seminars, each dedicated and carefully tailored to suit the needs of all car detailing enhusiasts in Ireland, from beginners to professionals.

BASIC SEMINAR

Dedicated to all detailing beginners who would like to gain fundemantal knowledge about the external and internal car cleaning as well as learn the basics of paint correction.

EXPERT SEMINAR

This seminar requires some previous detailing experience as we will focus on expanding and optimising the skills and knowledge you already have to an expert level.

CERAMIC COATING SEMINAR

Ceramic Coating Seminar will help you enter the world of various paint sealants (wax, polymer and ceramic), their benefits and correct application.

BASIC SEMINAR

Our basic seminar is dedicated to all car detailing beginners. During this seminar, you will learn all the necessary basic knowledge and working techniques for vehicle preparation as well as the correct handling of professional SONAX products.

Module I : Workplace Preparation and External Cleaning of a Vehicle

Size and equipment of the optimal workplace
Analysis of the paint condition
Paint restoration fundamentals
Detailed presentation and application of the products for external cleaning
Engine bay cleaning and sealing

Module II : Interior Cleaning of a Vehicle

Seats, carpet, headliner, cockpit, leather, plastic, window cleaning
A comprehensive explanation of SONAX products for interior cleaning

Module III : Paint Preparation and Restoration

Paintwork fundamentals
Determining the quality of paintwork
Polishing techniques: rotary vs orbital
Fundamentals of sealants and their application
Final paintwork check

Upon successful completion of this seminar, each participant will receive an official SONAX Detailing Academy Certificate.

EXPERT SEMINAR

During the expert seminar, we help you further develop the areas of car detailing you are especially interested in by individually addressing the needs of each participant. We will discuss and demonstrate the correct work steps for various car detailing tasks and learn how to optimize them. Another part of the seminar will focus on the paint preparation and paint restoration processes using the line of professional SONAX products.

Requirements: Basic Seminar (or 1+ years of experience in machine paint correction)

Module I : Workspace and Vehicle Preparation

Size and equipment of the optimal workplace
Analysis of the paint condition
Discussion of the main points to be covered during the seminar

Module II : Paint Preparation and Analysis

Detailed presentation and application of the products for external cleaning
Paintwork structure – analysis of the individual paintwork layers
Determining paintwork condition
Differences between rotary and orbital polishers – demonstration
A comprehensive explanation of the sanding techniques
Error correction when using polishing machines

Module III : Individual focal point

Detailed explanation of the individual focal points of each participant

Module IV : Special applications and the final check

Dealing with special applications, such as B panels, headlights, and foils
Carrying out a final check

Upon successful completion of this seminar, each participant will receive an official SONAX Detailing Academy Certificate.

CERAMIC COATING SEMINAR

If you have previously completed the SONAX Detailing Academy EXPERT Seminar, or if you already possess extensive knowledge backed up by 3+ years of experience in car detailing, especially the paint correction area, this training course is made for you. In our Ceramic Coating seminar, we will help you expand and further optimise your skills and knowledge in the areas of paintwork preparation and correction. Subsequently, we will teach you how to protect the corrected/enhanced paintwork by applying the SONAX EVO Ceramic Coating.

Requirements: Expert Seminar (or 3+ years of experience in machine paint correction)

Thorough preparation of the paintwork for machine polishing

Day II : Paint preparation and Polishing Techniques

Paint structure and the functionality of individual layers
Examination of the paint condition
Learning the differences between various polishes and polishing pads
Detailed explanation and demonstration of different polishing machines
Error correction when using polishing machines

Module III : Application of Sealants: Wax, Polymer, Ceramic Coating

Detailed explanation of the benefits of using wax, polymer, and ceramic sealants and the differences between them
Detailed explanation of PROFILINE CC EVO Ceramic Coating followed by the application demo
Carrying out a final vehicle check

Upon successful completion of this seminar, each participant will receive an official SONAX Detailing Academy Certificate.

DETAILING HERO
3-DAY SEMINAR

The SONAX Detailing Hero Seminar will last over 3 days and will take place in our workshop in Coolock, Dublin 17. During the 3 days of training, we will cover the content from our BASIC seminar, EXPERT seminar, and CERAMIC COATING seminar, effectively bringing you from detailing amateur to detailing hero!

Upon completion of this seminar, each participant will receive a FREE SONAX Profiline CC EVO Ceramic Coating Kit (RRP €119.99).
